Agency Mission

 To provide a positive role model and adult friendship to children in York Region and Bradford West Gwillimbury through the Big Brother Big Sister and Mentoring Programs

• Serving boys from father-absent homes through the Big Brother program
• Serving girls who would benefit from a friendship with a positive female role model
• Providing quality mentoring relationships to boys and girls through In-School Mentoring
• Being responsive to community needs
• Being accountable to our constituents
• Being fiscally responsible

Goals

• To increase the number of children participating in Big Brother Big Sister programs
• Provide all accepted Littles with the opportunity to participate in a Traditional Match, Group Program or Activity Nights
• To have at least one school participating in the In-School Mentoring Program in each of the communities we serve
• To increase the number of children served in the In-School Mentoring Program
• Significantly increase participant volunteer recruitment and public relations programs to ensure we reach our goal
• Continue meeting National Service Standards
  

  Big Brothers Big Sisters of York serves the towns of Aurora, Bradford West Gwillimbury, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Whitchurch-Stouffville and the City of Vaughan.
